The Salem Witch Trials Exhibition at the Peabody Essex Museum

Today I have an exciting opportunity for you that I hope many of you will enjoy as much as I have.  The Peabody Essex Museum of Salem Massachusetts has a special display right now on the Salem Witch Trials of 1692.  This exhibit holds a wealth of historical treasures and information that I know so many of you will enjoy.  The best part? They have made it available for free online for all of you to explore.

They did an absolutely amazing job.  There are dots on the floor that you can click on to help you navigate the exhibit. You are able to turn around and zoom in and out to your hearts content looking at all this exhibit has to offer.  One of my favorite parts of this exhibit is the additional detail they added with the red dots that you see. When you click these dots they give you close up views of things that you are looking at and sometimes additional information.

For example they have several old books in the exhibit from the 1600’s.  Some of these books are indexed at the Sacred Texts Archive and you can follow the link to read them if you want to.

I just love these old windows! This is an old lead window from Salem from between 1670 – 1700.

Here are some wall planks from the old Salem Jail where many awaiting trial were held.

These are just a couple of the treasures waiting for you to find them in this virtual display.  I hope that you enjoy it as much as I did!

Go to the Exhibit!

Have an amazingly magickal day!

Much Love and Many Blessings,

Jasmeine Moonsong
