We’ve talked a lot about making your home your personal oasis and how to raise the energy of your home to support you on your personal path in life. One of the things that’s important for the energy in your home is regular maintenance. As we enter Spring it’s a great time to do a quick spring cleansing of your home.
First go through and do the traditional Spring Cleaning. On a day that it’s warm enough open all the windows in your home to shift the energy. Make sure you clear out any clutter and put things back in the place they belong. If you have a yard or personal space outside ensure that it’s ready for the beautiful blessings of new life that Spring is bringing for you.
Now is the perfect time to go through and scrub everything, wash windows and dust. Make sure that you do as thorough of a cleaning as you can
Go through your home with your favorite cleansing tool, I am partial to a bundle of dried lavender and sage. Cleanse your home moving through each room and being sure to waft the smoke from your bundle in all the corners, over windows and doors and in any tiny spaces that may be inclined to hold energy. As you do so ask the Goddess to bless your house and say that only energy in your greater interest may remain. This will help to remove any energy that is not in your best interest from your home. Move clockwise around your home beginning with your front door.
Next go through and sweep your home in the same manner. This will help to ensure that everything has been cleansed.
Next burn some incense, oil or a candle of your choice in your home. Lavender is always a perfect go to. Cedar is another option. I am partial to Lavender and Vanilla as it is incredibly calming.
