Three Sisters Sanctuary

For years I have been hearing about a wonderful sanctuary about an hour from my house called the Three Sisters Sanctuary in Goshen, Massachusetts.  This weekend the stars aligned and we made our first trip there and had the most wonderful time.

The Sanctuary is run by Richard Richardson.  He is an environmental artist and has transformed what once was a simple house that called to him to an eight-acre beautiful sanctuary that calls to so many different souls to go to for energy of peace, healing and magick.  His passion for the land is completely evident as soon as you pull onto the property.

You are greeted by art in the parking lot before you even enter the sanctuary.

This is the exterior of a stove shop on the property that he worked on.  He would collect and repair old stoves.  What remains is now a wonderful museum on the property that you can look through.

Every step of the way there are things to notice, statues, art, trinkets, stones, landscaping…..all calling to you ….and it seems that the things that mean the most to you will find you. You could walk through every day and still notice new things and in fact Earl and I took so much time wandering around noticing new things with each pass through the various gardens.

This is at the beginning of the sanctuary.  There is a fireplace with a beautiful mosaic dragon at the top that can breathe fire.  We were quite lucky to see him breathing fire while we were there.

This opening area was really special as it was packed with all sorts of treasures that I believe Richard left for us to see as well as many of his guests.  Painted rocks, bits of glass, crystals, necklaces, so many wonderful little treasures to see.

So many different areas to explore with all different energetic vibes.

This is the backside of the dragon with a wonderful stone circle that would be an amazing place to hold events and I know many do.

So many wonderful areas that are done in all different ways.  In this section a lot of crystals were featured. You can see them hanging in the sphere above.

When you took the time to explore and look for little details you would find them.

I loved the glass marble at the top of all the stones.

So much love in this particular area.  I have a video for you that you can watch after if you want to that explains the whole sanctuary.  This area was done for his oldest daughter who unfortunately did pass away.  It’s sad that he lost his daughter.  If you have the chance to visit though there is so much energy of love here. <3

This next area was filled with a wide variety of sculptures and types of art.

He is made of all utensils and is quite extraordinary in person.

Beautiful place to sit and relax. So many treasures inside.

Isn’t she beautiful? She is covered in glass, seashells and music notes.

One of the more natural areas.

I just love dirt roads.

I also loved all the glass. It’s used in so many places in so many ways.

This is a pond at the back of the sanctuary.

This was one of my favorites spots.  It’s a beautiful healing labyrinth.

It’s hard to do the place justice in pictures.  It truly is magickal.  You can find more information on the sanctuary here: Three Sisters Sanctuary

On this page
there are videos of the sanctuary.  One of them is a 45 minute documentary that the travel channel aired. I must warn you that he lost two people who were close to him in his life and that is included. If you are sensitive to that as I know it can be tough to watch you may want to skip it or just skim through the video.  It is a really interesting story and it shows a lot of the grounds. I also highly recommend his Facebook page. He posts so many wonderful pictures and really gives you insight to the magick of the place that he sees and what went into creating it.  I just barely touched on all the amazing things to see here. Three Sisters Facebook

I hope that you have the most amazingly magickal day!
