Welcome July!

Here in New England it’s firefly season and I’ve been really enjoying the beauty of them blinking around my yard every night.  Earl worked hard to develop several areas of the yard that they would love and his efforts have paid off.  We are being rewarded with their glow around our yard each night once it gets dark.  This is one of my favorite months of the year for that reason.

It’s also the season to go to the ocean! Many of you know that we are lucky enough to live about two hours from the ocean.  While we don’t typically go to many of the beaches because they are two crowded we do have several favorite spots to tuck away and spend a quiet day by the ocean.

Our gardens are also in full swing.  Everything is in and I am enjoying a wide variety of teas each morning.  The chocolate mint is definitely my favorite.  Each morning and evening I’m greeted by the smell of the herbs in my backyard and the milkweed that I swear smells a bit like honeysuckle.  We are waiting for the Monarch butterflies to find it and make it their home for this year.

As we begin this the 7th month of the year know that the number 7 brings us energy that helps us to connect more spiritually.  It can have you analyzing things going on in your life and perhaps digging a bit deeper into the meaning of things going on in your life.  The Sun still bringing us some very long days is going to bring us a lot of positive energy and clarity on our paths this month which will help us to gain understanding of where we currently are.  If you’ve been feeling challenged, frazzled and perhaps a bit confused by everything going on, you may find that July is the month to bring some added clarity and information that may help you to gain a greater understanding of things happening in your life.

We have some important events this month.  This weekend we celebrate our Full Moon.  This is the final of three eclipses which has definitely brought us some interesting and influential energy.  You may find that some things in your life begin to come to a conclusion as we get ready to open a new chapter in our lives with the New Moon this month.   If you haven’t ordered your Full Moon Lunar Eclipse reading yet, you can still book your reading at the shop.

July 1: Crone Day – A day to honor Father Time and Old Mother Nature

July 4 – Full Moon and Lunar eclipse.  (technically the Full Moon is July 5th.  It’s just after midnight at 12:44 which is why I am celebrating it with you on the 4th.

July 8 – Celtic Month of Holly begins.

July 19 – Rebecca Nurse is hung in Salem in 1692.

July 20 – New Moon

July 21 – Witch’s Day – A day to celebrate your craft.

July 29 – Festival of Thor

August 1 – Lammas or Lughnasadh – Celebration of the Grain Harvest.

I wanted to include Lammas even though it’s on August 1st as that is going to come up super quick as it’s on August 1st.

I pulled the three of wands for us today.  You are going to find yourself on a new journey this month.  Things are likely going to look different.  This isn’t a fast journey…this is a new journey that you are just beginning.  Look for those things that inspire you along the way as they may hold important clues for your future.  They may also open up some options or opportunities for the future that may bring you some extra happiness.  We have a lot of new energy around us now and energy of change.  Many of you may find  yourselves just beginning new paths in your life, others may find you are beginning one soon. It’s a huge time of change and transition.  Be patient as you go on this new journey.  There will be a lot to explore. Your perspective on life and your patience will help to define your experiences.
