Welcome September!

My favorite month of the year is finally here!  Earl will laugh and tell you it’s because my birthday is in a few days.  I thought the quote above did such a good job summing it up.  September has the best Summer weather.  We still are in Summer until the 21st!   It’s those beautiful piercing blue skies and the beautiful weather that makes you not want to miss a minute of being outside.  The nights are gorgeous as well with clear skies full of stars and just a slight chill that makes you want to sit by the fire and watch the Moon and stars all night with a nice cup of tea.

Of course you know that we are also getting ready to begin the Season of the Witch! Samhain and Halloween preparations are starting to happen and I just love looking at all the new decor each year.  So much fun! I think I told you that Earl and I are entered to be on a haunted yard tour for our town so I know Earl is going to be having a blast decorating the yard all this month.  I intend to get in all the kayaking I can before the weather gets too cold. While I love fall I intend to soak up every bit of Summer I can. Let’s take a look at what’s happening this month!

September 1  – Celtic Tree month of Hazel ends

September 2-  Celtic Tree month of the Vine starts.

September 2 – Full Harvest Moon

September 6 – My birthday! ( I had to add it in there) 

September 8 – Badass Ancestors Release Date with Patti Wiggington

September 14 – Ellen Dugan’s birthday

September 17 – New Moon

September 17 – Bewitched began in 1974

September 21 – International Day of Peace

September 21 – 23 – Mabon (dependent upon your tradition is when you will celebrate)

September 22 – The Autumn Equinox

September 29 – Celtic Tree month of Vine ends.

September 30 – Celtic Tree month of Ivy begins.

Don’t forget in October we have two Full Moons!  The first one is on the 1st of October and the second is on……. Samhain!!!! How exciting! It truly is the Season of the Witch.  Have a great month!
