We’ve been hard at work supporting the community… Earl and I have been really hard at work with something over the last week and I wanted to share it with all of you.
Almost a week ago now a nurse on my community forum asked for help with printing ear guards for the medical staff at our local hospital. I immediately recognized that it was something that Earl could print and asked him if he would be willing to get involved. I got in touch with someone at the hospital and we have been working with them ever since.
The ear guards work by letting you place the elastic on the plastic piece instead of having it rub against your ears. This has been a big problem for many as their ears are getting incredibly painful and even bleeding from the elastic as they are having to wear these masks for so many hours.
By the time you read this we will have dropped off over 500 of them. It’s really crazy to think about that kind of an impact and we are just so happy to be able to help. We’ve managed to cover most of our home hospital and the ear guards are now going out to other hospitals in our community as well as police and fire departments. If I could show you how happy they are when we drop them off. It’s the most incredible experience. We are currently producing about 100 a day and will keep this up until they are no longer needed or the funds run out! We have set up a go fund me page to help us out with the filament. If you want to check it out to donate or to just watch what we are doing you can see it here: Ear Guards for Our Medical Staff and Front Lines
We are really excited about the impact that these are having. I wanted to share it with all of you so that you know how we are helping out during these times. A lot of the hospitals and other essential employees can use these. If you can sew or want to help out this is a simple design that some are using:
I’ve also seen people putting them on headbands.
I hope that you have a magickal day today! Sending you all so much love.
Much Love and Many Blessings,
Jasmeine Moonsong
