One of my favorite crafts this time of year is creating a fairy house or fairy garden. They can be so much fun!! With Beltane coming up so soon, this is the perfect time of year to create your own fairy house.I always encourage you to make them out of natural products. It helps to keep that beautiful Earth energy in your creation. I’m not against adding something like a door that you see above to give it a bit more of that whimsical energy as well. Have fun with it!
At the park near our house, they are doing a fairy house walk, and this is just one of the first ones that they brought in as an example. I’m hoping to be able to go back soon and get more pictures to share with you. It’s a really nice example of one that someone built.
Over the last couple of weeks, at the library, there have been workshops for the kids and the adults to make fairy houses. They were quite popular and there were a lot of really beautiful ones!! Some of them will be going to the fairy walk and I will be sure to grab some pictures of those. They had these beautiful pieces of bark that served as the walls of the house, and then they decorated them with moss, acorns, dried flowers, sticks, and other trinkets that had been collected for the projects. They were amazing!
It’s something I think a lot of you would have fun with. Take a walk in the woods and keep an eye on the ground for materials that you can use to build a fairy house. You may be surprised at how many things you find. You can use a glue gun to put your house together. When you are done, you have a beautiful creation to invite the fae into your life. It’s a great project to honor the turning of the Wheel of the Year and the energy of the season.
Have an amazingly magickal day!
Much Love and Many Blessings,
