Every year one of my favorite things to make is Chive Blossom Vinegar. It’s incredibly easy to make and infuses the vinegar with the taste of chives. It’s a favorite of mine on salads. Not only does it taste good but it looks really pretty as you can see the vinegar turns this beautiful shade of pink. This is about 48 hours after I made it but you will see the results as early as the next day.
When your chives blossom you want to pick the flowers that are fully open. You just want the flower heads. Fill the jar to the top with the flowers. You don’t want to pack them down just put them into the jar as they fit. When you have it to the top you then want to fill the jar with white vinegar. For best results let it sit for a couple of weeks. You also want to keep it refrigerated.
The vinegar is one of my favorites on salads. It is said that the flowers can help you to learn magick and remember things. Chives and Vinegar are also amazing for detecting and eliminating energy that isn’t in your best interest.
