Many of you mentioned how much you loved the yarn doll ornaments from the other day. Today I wanted to share another quick and easy decoration that I also use to make each year, Cranberry and Popcorn Garland. This is a wonderful decoration that you can use indoors and outdoors if you make it correctly.
You need some heavy thread and a strong needle that can pierce the cranberries. You will also need a good amount of popcorn. If you use air popped popcorn with no salt or butter it will not only last longer but it will also be a wonderful treat for the birds outside if you choose to decorate outside. Some birds will also eat the cranberries. If they do it helps to boost their immune systems. If you are making it for the birds be sure that you are using thread that is easy for them to see. Be sure to keep an eye on it so that it doesn’t become a tangle hazard for them and bring it inside if it is. When you string the garland be sure that your cranberries aren’t cooked. This will help them to last longer.
You can string the popcorn and cranberries in any pattern that you like. You can also add other things like oranges, cheerios or anything else that you can think of that the birds would enjoy or that you would inside on your tree.
Dried sliced apples and cinnamon sticks also make really pretty ornaments for your indoor tree.
I hope that you have fun making them!
Have a magickal day!
Much Love and Many Blessings,
