I’m so excited about this Full Moon. It’s the one closest to the Spring Equinox and it’s in Virgo. What more could I want? I was going through pictures trying to find the perfect Full Moon graphic for the article today that I wanted to work with and I came across the one above. The first thing that called to me was all the fireflies! While I know it’s not time for them yet, they usually come here in June I know that this weekend I’m a bit closer to their return. What I am incredibly close to is Spring Peepers! I can’t wait to have my windows open at night to change around the air in the house, listen to the peepers and the owl in the park across from my house. You should smell the air here today. I wish I had a way to bottle things up and send them to you. It’s been in the 60’s here the past few days. Today I hear that we are going to hit 72. I’m pretty sure it’s supposed to hit 72 today. We are hoping to open the windows for the first time and I’m really excited. The Earth is just absolutely soaked and the grass is actually starting to turn green again and there are flowers starting to come up. It’s an exciting time where I live.
Our Full Moon tonight is in Virgo. I love that. In all this changing energy of March and the new energy of the Spring Equinox, I feel like Virgo brings a bit of balance and dare I say organization and clarity to the chaos that is around us. I’m just so thrilled to have her energy present. I can already feel it as I’m writing to you as the Moon is in Virgo while I’m writing to you. Virgo is a strong Earth sign. It’s part of why her energy can be so grounding. The other thing that I love is that Virgo can help you to really take a look at yourself. What is helping you in your life right now? What really isn’t? It can be helpful to have this information when you are trying to make decisions about what direction you want to go in. This energy can also help you to figure out how to get something done. You may know what you need to do but maybe you aren’t really sure how. The energy moving in around you now will help you with that.
Our Moon tonight is known as the Storm Moon or the Worm Moon among its many names. The Storm Moon gets its names for the many storms that tend to come in this time of year. The weather is completely unpredictable this time of year in New England and I know other places around the world experience the same. We’ve been getting a lot of high winds, snow, and rain here. I do believe we are finally done with the snow. The energy around us tends to match the weather, it’s unpredictable. That’s what I think is most rattling about this time of year. Change can be good.
