Gifts for Those Who Have Crossed to the Other Side

I adore going to visit cemeteries.  I love walking among the stones and seeing all the artwork and the dates of those who have walked before me.  A lot of people like to visit graves of loved ones and perhaps people that they appreciate when they lived.

I find that it’s a tradition among so many to bring something to leave on a visit to the cemetery. I have to admit it’s something that I do love seeing when I walk through and look at all the stones.  It’s always interesting to see what people leave for their loved ones or for people that they knew or knew of in life.  I always encourage people to bring something from nature.  So for instance whenever I visit my Grandparents I  bring a stone or a feather, sometimes I find it that day on a walk there.  It usually is one that I’ve found on a walk.  This way a stone is natural and it can blend back in with the landscape.  If you are visiting someone that you know and love or someone that you admire consider bringing a stone, a feather, flower or something else from nature to leave as a tribute.  It will have your energy as you found it and it will honor them by keeping the space that they are resting in free of debris.

If you wish to leave objects of other types, consider setting up an altar or space in your home.  Maybe have their photo up and you can leave notes or other gifts for them. This way it’s some place safe and when things have outgrown their time or are getting old you can exchange them out for new things.

Know that your loved ones are always with you.  You can meet them anywhere that you choose to.  It doesn’t have to be where they crossed or where their headstone may be.

Have an amazingly magickal day!

Much Love and Many Blessings,
