Happy Witch’s New Year! I hope everyone had an amazing night last night. We spent the night walking around to see all the decorations and everyone dressed up, had a special dinner for Samhain, and then watched a spooky movie. Today we celebrate the first day of our Witch’s New Year. Every tradition is different, and some of you may celebrate Samhain as the final harvest. I was taught that at midnight on the night of Samhain we turn the Wheel of the Year and celebrate our Witch’s New Year to represent the end of one cycle and the beginning of a new one. Think about what you would like in your new year, and light a white candle today. While in front of that candle, write the things that you would like to see on the new Wheel of the Year that you are about to start navigating.
I also think that it’s important to note that for many, today is also the Day of the Dead or Dia de los Muertos. It’s a day to celebrate the dead and the lives that they lived. So while you may find at Samhain we honor those who crossed before us with special altars, or even a place set at a Samhain supper, today is a great time to do something to celebrate the life that they lived. Sing, dance, and do something they would have loved to do.
Many of you have been navigating the intense energy of change that is all around us. Hang in there. We still have a bit to go while we wait for the conclusion of this Eclipse energy with the Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse next week. Take your time navigating things and be open to the changes all around you. They are meant to help set the stage for some bit of changes on your path coming up. Stay alert and work with this energy to help move things in the direction that you want to see them go.
October was definitely tricky for so many people. We’ve been surrounded by some powerful energy of transition and change that’s been encouraging us to make changes in our lives that help us to bring more love into our lives and help us to feel more empowered. The energy of Samhain has been encouraging us to let go of what is no longer working for us to make room for new energy coming as we step through that portal to our new year today.

What You Need
– Dragon’s Blood
– Frankincense
– Mortar and Pestle
– charcoal disc
– bowl safe to burn in
Blend dragon’s blood and frankincense together. I used cone incense and mashed it down using a mortar and pestle.
Use a charcoal disc to burn the blend.
Waft the smoke into the corners of all the rooms of your house and say negative energy be gone, only positive energy remains.
