New Moon Blessings! Today we celebrate the first New Moon of our Witch’s New Year. I love that the New Moon is so close to Samhain this year. It has had a wonderful influence on the energy that we have around us now. October was a month of a lot of transition and change for so many of us. If you found yourself navigating challenges and wondering where the time was zipping off to you were not alone. As you walked past Samhain into our Witch’s New Year you may have even felt the energy shift around you. It’s as if a breath of fresh cold air blew in to refresh your heart and soul and allow you to take a much-needed pause for a moment to see the world around you. Part of the reason for this big shift in energy so quickly is the New Moon coming up so quickly.
Tonight we have a wonderful boost of new energy coming our way. Our New Moon falls in the energy of Scorpio tonight. This is new energy that’s going to delight the senses. It’s a great time to take in new sights, sounds, smells and really enjoy things that are happening around you. If you have intuitive gifts it’s a great time to work with them as the veils are still thin from Samhain and the energy this evening will give you a bit of a boost.
The energy tonight that I’m picking up is interesting! I have this beautiful layer of refreshing energy that we already talked about combined with this wonderfully relaxing energy that you will find that helps you to ground and get a good look at where you are standing. I have a lot of energy of possibility around this New Moon tonight. If you’ve been trying hard to make something happen and have been struggling, raise your desires up to the New Moon this evening. This Moon has some powerful energy of transition with it that you may find helps you find your way to finally making something work. For some of you, you may find that this energy shows you a very new path that becomes available in the coming days. Honestly, I feel like a lot of this energy depends on how you did with all the energy we were working with in October. This energy is going to help to fill in some gaps, help you find some additional success in things you may have been trying to make happen and it will help you to transition onto a new path.
I pulled Heart Healing from the Earth Wisdom Oracle Deck. This is a small deck that I picked up on a trip to Salem. Its descriptions are small but the cards are so pretty and I find that it has the most magickal energy. Have you ever seen Bleeding Hearts in person? They are so pretty! The flowers look like little hearts just hanging off of a long branch. With the New Moon tonight you are going to find a lot of energy of love and a lot of healing energy. We have the water to help cleanse our personal energy and to bring us some extra nourishment. The energy tonight is going to be helpful in bringing so many of us some much-needed energy of love and nourishment. It’s a wonderful idea to do something special for yourself tonight. Maybe a long walk followed by a candlelit bath with some candles. Do something for yourself today.
