So today I want to look at one fear that you have in your life. Pick one that seems to be the most prominent. For example I have trust issues, so I have chosen to work with that tonight. You may choose a fear of change, heights, foods, the dark, and the list goes on. Pick the one that feels right to you.
Find a place that is quiet that you can meditate or think quietly to yourself for a bit of time. I want you to take a good look at that fear. It may be helpful to write things down. Identify what the fear is as precisely as you can. Taking the trust example again, is it a fear of trusting anyone, certain people, certain circumstances etc. Write down as much detail as you can. I then want you to identify where you feel that fear most in your body. Do you feel it in your solar plexus, your heart chakra, does it just make you feel ill and shaky?
The next step is to figure out where this originated from. Start going back through your life until you find the earliest instance you can imagine of this fear. Look at that situation and identify how it impacted your life today. Then make a conscious decision to forgive whoever is involved. If there is no one else involved you may need to look and see if you need to forgive yourself. Write down on your paper who you forgive and why. Sit with that for a few moments and really concentrate on forgiving that situation. Realize that it is a situation that you were most likely meant to learn from. Identify what you learned and make that decision to move forward.
The next step is to release that fear. Envision that fear floating up and away from you. You may choose to burn a piece of paper with the fear on it to help you, or envision it in your hands and blowing it into the wind, or simply ask the Divine to take it from you.
The final step is to heal that fear. Surround yourself with white light and heal the area that you feel that fear the most. For instance I feel trust issues mainly in my solar plexus so I will fill that area with a loving energy to fill the space that I made by removing that fear.
You may want to choose one issue a month to work on. In doing this you will work on releasing your past and allowing yourself to move forward to the beautiful future that awaits you.
