Tarot of the Owls

It’s no secret that I love tarot decks and from time to time I will get extra excited about a new deck coming out and this was one of them! I absolutely love owls as many of you know so I was already in when I saw they were making an entire deck featuring them.  But then I saw that Elizabeth Alba was the artist!! She is a fellow New England witch that lives not far from me in a beautiful town that I spent many happy summers in growing up.  I can definitely feel that New England energy in some of the artwork on her cards and it just makes me love the deck that much more. I only have a couple of different artists on my walls at my desk and she is one of them!

This is one of my favorites. I think she likes it as well as it is one of the first pieces that she features on her website! You can see all of her artwork here: Elizabeth Alba

I also have this one. 🙂 It’s a mini version that she included in her deck for me.  I purchased a sign deck from her on Etsy.  At the time I’m writing this she has a signed Every Day Witch Oracle Deck available, also a great deck by the way, but I’m not seeing the Tarot of the Owls.  She may bring more back in or you can message her and tell her I sent you to see if she has more. She is incredibly nice as well as being so talented.  Ok back to the deck!

Aren’t the cards gorgeous? I took a few pictures of some of them for you.  The deck is based on the traditional Rider Waite system so if you know how to read tarot based on that system you will be all set.  If you are looking to learn tarot this is a great deck to start on as it follows that system and it has so many incredible details which is something that I look for in a deck that I read with.  The guidebook is a great place to start with interpretations but it’s really the artwork that makes this an amazing deck to read with.  The cards all speak to you and it’s so easy to interpret them in so many ways.  My main deck is the Mystic Dreamer Tarot and this is the first time that I can honestly say I have a deck in my hands that would give it a run for its money in being a favorite to read with. I can see so much going on in the cards.  Elizabeth is an amazing soul and she has really managed to capture the wisdom and spirit of the owls in this deck.  It’s incredible.  I can easily see using this as a main deck or if you are someone who wants to pull cards daily, this deck will do all that you want it to do if you are an intuitive reader.

While I love the larger decks when working with the oracles, for a tarot deck I love the standard size cards and that’s what this deck has.  When you have 78 cards, it makes it easier to manage all the cards and to be able to shuffle them.  The smaller size does not take away from these cards at all I can assure you.  They are gorgeous!  I know I keep raving about the details but in my opinion they really are absolutely everything.  I prefer a tarot deck that has a guide book… however a sign of a good tarot deck to me is one that I don’t even need the book.

There are four suits in the deck staying true to the RWS tarot system.  The Wands are Great Horned Owls.  Swords are Snowy Owls.  Pentacles are Burrowing Owls.  The Cups are the Barn Owls.  You will meet many magickal owls as you make your way through this deck, each one seemingly coming to life off of the card with the message that they have for you.

I have been working with these cards for a few months now and I am ready to bring them to you! Today I am opening a very special opportunity to get a reading with me featuring these cards. I really do hope all of you enjoy this deck as much as I do.

Wisdom of the Owls Tarot Journey

Wherever you find magick and Witches you will find that Owls are quite close by. They are the Witch’s companion, a beautiful animal familiar, and a spirit animal known to bring ancient wisdom to you when you work with them. I have found in my work with Spirit Animals that Owls are often drawn to those who are old souls that have walked many lifetimes and tend to carry the gift of sight so that they may see the world beyond what others do.

This reading features the Tarot of the Owls by Pamela Chen and Elizabeth Alba. The cards are gorgeous and the owls will speak to you in this reading and bring you the wisdom that you need on your path. Let the owls take you on a tarot journey to gather the wisdom that you need in your path.

If you have specific questions or issues that you want me to look for information on, I will be happy to do that. You can also let the owls speak to you and see what they want you to know. No matter what path you choose it will be a journey you will not forget. I look forward to reading for you!
