We just came back from the most refreshing long walk in the woods. I am always so thankful for the return of the warm weather here in New England. Now that the warmer weather is here, how many of you are getting outside regularly? As empaths we are sensitive to all sorts of energy including the energy from our modern technology. One of the best ways to help manage that energy is by spending time outside.
Have you ever had the power go out during a storm and you breathe a sigh of relief as your body instantly relaxes? Have you ever wondered why? It’s because you can feel the energy that is around you all the time even if you aren’t aware of it. You definitely want to minimize the electronics that are on in your home whenever you can. It’s more than just saving money.
If you have a place that’s outside in nature where it’s pretty quiet, you will find that you have that calm that you would experience when the power goes out in your home. Spending regular time outside can go a long way to helping you to stay grounded and centered. One of my favorite places is on my deck surrounded by my plants, by my pond or in my herb garden. Taking a long walk in nature is the best way for me to ground and center.
How many of you love to go barefoot? Unless I’m doing something that requires shoes I’m barefoot almost all the time during Summer. Sneakers only come out for walking or bicycle rides. One of my favorite things to do is walk through the soft grass in my yard. It’s one of the quickest ways to ground. A sandy beach is also amazing for this. See if you can spend some extra time barefoot and pay attention to how it makes you feel.
Summer nights are one of my favorite times to be outside. I find that night is a lot quieter than during the day and I love watching the stars come out at night. Summer nights are warm enough to be comfortable most nights here in New England and I love sitting out by the fire or just watching the fireflies during the month of June and early July. However my favorite time of day is that time in between. I refer to the time in between as the time when the Sun has just set and the sky goes through those beautiful shades or orange to an almost purple hue. It’s not very long to transition but it’s just gorgeous and I love watching it when I can.
Look for many ways that you can take advantage of time outside to relax and revitalize your soul. You can work outside in a your garden with your hands in the Earth, or relax in a chair watching the birds play about in your yard. Try to find a place that there aren’t many people and it’s quiet and away from building, cars etc. See if you can find a quiet place and then watch what a difference it makes in you as your mind slows down and your body relaxes.
Have an amazingly magickal day.
Much Love and Many Blessings,
