I love the beginning of the New Year. We have our tree down now and all the holiday decorations and as I’m writing this the sun is beaming through my house. The cats are having so much fun watching for the birds and laying in various places on the floor in the sunshine. It’s been a bit warmer than usual here and I have a lot of sparrows outside the window making Loki’s day extra special. Let’s take a look at what the first chapter in 2024 is going to hold for you! Entering the New Year we have some powerful energy of change and transition, not uncommon for this time of year. This is some incredibly empowering energy that is going to set the pace for this year. Remember that you control the changes that your path takes this year. Be sure to work with this energy and make the changes you want. As you navigate the energy of this month be extra aware of the decisions that you are making and how they are impacting your life. Make sure that you are doing things that bring you happiness. I saw a graphic somewhere that said “This year I survived, next year I want to live.” I know so many of us went through a lot of challenges in 2023 and faced a lot of fears. As you start the new year right here in January know that you have closed a chapter in your life, it’s a new hour, day, month, and year and you are going to write the story that you want to see. This year make sure you live. Do the things that you want to do and seek out those people and things that put a smile on your face. 🙂 Look for that energy of new beginnings and follow it!
Mercury is now direct and you are going to feel it. You are going to find that communication with others is easier. It’s going to be easier to get in touch with yourself and the things that you are thinking and feeling and to express that and that’s important. This is a great time to be truthful with yourself and others. Draw lines in the sand where you need to. Express your love for others. 🙂 Share stories with friends, family, and loved ones. The relationships in your life will do a lot to light up your heart and soul in January so spend some extra time in them where you can.

I’ve pulled the Three of Wands for January. You are off on a new journey to discover new things. This new path is going to be met with some challenges, some things that inspire you and hopefully a lot of success. Don’t worry about the big things right now, start with the small steps towards what you want to do. As you find success in those small steps it will help you to have the courage and confidence to go after what you really want. There is some powerful energy around you now that will help to empower you in 2024. It’s time.
