Welcome to September!!! It’s no secret that I am a New England Witch and I love this time of year. Fall in New England is gorgeous!! It also seems to suit the area as well. Something about Autumn leaves, crisp apples, cool air and bright blue skies just seems to enhance the energy of New England. I find this especially true with the old seacoast towns. For this reason and so many more, September has always been my favorite month here in New England. Once again I can open the windows at night and let that fresh air in and the house just smells amazing. It’s the perfect time of year to go for a walk as it’s incredibly beautiful out and just the best temperature. While we haven’t quite reached Autumn yet, it is coming soon!! The leaves are just starting to take on touches of red, yellow and gold reminding me that I only have a few weeks left of Summer. In just a few short weeks we will say goodbye to Summer and celebrate out Autumn Equinox and celebrate Mabon… also known as our Witch’s Thanksgiving. Then it will be time to start taking out those decorations for Samhain!!!! Let’s be honest.. I’ve already started taking them out. 🙂
I often find that these months have the best smells as well! Apple, cinnamon and pumpkin smells starting to show up everywhere and the crisp air has a smell that is just amazing. Here in New England it is also fair season with the biggest fair kicking off in New England in a couple of weeks. It’s just a half hour from my house and we go every year. There’s so much to look forward to in the coming weeks!

September 21 – International Day of Peace
September 21 – 23 – Mabon (dependent upon your tradition is when you will celebrate)
September 22 – The Autumn Equinox
September 29 – Celtic Tree month of Vine ends.
September 30 – Celtic Tree month of Ivy begins.
We are entering the season of the witch and I’m so excited!
