Make Your Own Pentacle

How many of you have seen the beautiful Pentacles that hang on the walls that are made out of branches.  I have a few of them that are in my home all year long.  What I love about them is that you can decorate them any way you wish to reflect the changing seasons.  They are actually pretty easy to make once you get the hang of it and there are so many different things that you can do with them to decorate them.

The first thing you want to do is select the sticks that you want to use.  I personally love the rustic look of the branches that you can find outside. A great time to go looking is right after a storm so you can find branches that may still have a bit of bend to them making them easier to work with.  You can then trim the branches for a more finished look if you want. For a bit of extra magickal touch, choose branches that are from trees with the energy that you wish to work with.

I have found that a hot glue gun can make things so much easier when making things.  It’s a lot easier than trying to get the branches to cooperate while you try to tie them.  The first step is to lay out the branches the way that you want them.  Then start using the hot glue to connect them to each other. Once they dry it makes it so much easier to add ribbons or any other decorations that you may want to add. You can use the hot glue to add things to them as well.

If you don’t have a hot glue gun or you simply have a steadier hand than I do, you can make this with string by wrapping the branches together.  You may want to try tying them together with twist ties first to help you hold them in place. You can also try making them with cinnamon sticks if you like.  They smell amazing!

For decorations you can use things like mini lights, crystals, ribbons, wishes rolled into little scrolls, flowers, anything you can think of that would add a bit of energy to the pentacle that you wish. Have a great time making them!

Much Love and Many Blessings,
