Many of you know that one of my passions is tarot and oracle decks. I love finding new decks as they all have so many different things to say. I also really love looking at the artwork on all of the different cards. Oracle decks don’t have to follow any system and there are times that I really enjoy that. I love seeing themed decks and decks that are done for specific occasions like Samhain or Halloween. I get so excited to take out my Halloween Oracle this time every year.
A couple of weeks ago I was in a bookstore and I found a section that had all different oracle decks. This one jumped out at me. They also had a Yule one that I’m excited to share with you during December. I brought the deck home with me and it definitely has not disappointed me. It has wonderful Samhain energy and the cards are really relevant to the energy of the Season of the Witch.
The cards are bigger than what I consider to be a standard deck coming in at 3 x 5.5 inches. This is a size that I really enjoy working with when I have an oracle deck as I find it makes it a bit easier to take in all the details that are on the cards. It has the red foil edging that is just incredibly stunning. One of my children noticed it from across the room as it was so pretty. They are nice and thick! This definitely feels like a deck that will hold up through a lot of readings. That’s something that is incredibly important to me.
The cards really take you on a journey through the Samhain season. Witch es, Pumpkins, Divination, The Underworld, All Hallow’s Eve, and The Underworld are some of the many cards that add so much flavor of the season to this deck. They have the perfect balance of energy between light and dark in my opinion that helps to accurately reflect the energy that we are working with right now. The Samhain-themed will draw you in and hold your attention. I love the artwork for the deck. The guidebook is also one of the best that I’ve experienced. It’s definitely a deck that you can sit down and spend a good amount of time with.
I’m so impressed with this deck I already have the Seasons of the Witch Yule Oracle and I’m hoping that they continue on to create them for all of our special events on the Wheel of the Year. This is definitely a deck that I can easily give my recommendation to. I’m looking forward to reading with it through the Samhain season and reading for all of you with it as I know so many of you will love it.
